The Tibetan Tea Project is a way to help Tibetan people by purchasing tea grown and packaged in Tibet. Tibetans benefit directly from their own tea growing and packaging business. In addition, part of the proceeds from sales go to help Tibetan refugees in India.
Tibetan Green Teas are truly special. These Certified Organic Teas are grown at over 7000 feet at the Yigong Tea Plantation in Linzhi Perfecture. The tea gardens are at the base of mountain peaks providing crystal clear water, perfect mist and cloud conditions, and warm winds blowing northward through Himalayan mountain passes. The tea leaves are handled with exceeding care resulting in outstanding teas.
Tibetan Teas are imported exclusively by All The Tea Company of Portland Oregon and are available by mail order from Strand Tea Company or at selected natural food stores, tea & coffee houses nationwide.

Jasmine Mao Feng – Mao Feng (Mao = fluffy Feng = high mountain peak) tea is one of the best known tea leaf styles in China because its long twisted, and curled leaves yield mellow flavors. Jasmine, prized for its aroma, has been used to scent green tea for centuries. It is also known in China to cleanse the palate, as a digestive aid and breath freshener. Mao Feng Leaves are used in this tea because they combine better with the Jasmine flowers.
Mao Feng - Mao Feng is the top grade of green tea produced by the Tibetans.
Green Premium – Grown at over 7000 feet under the supervision of the Yigong Tea Plantation Tea master, only the finest top leaves and buds are picked, and then delicately rolled before the final drying process. High grown tea grows more slowly thus has more flavonoids and a lighter, more delicate taste.
Green Premium with Rhodiola - Rhodiola has been used by Tibetans as a traditional remedy for more than 1000 years. According to traditional medicine interpretation Rhodiola supports vital energy (Qi), helps the body resist pathogens, and enriches the blood. In the Western World it is considered an adaptogen – substances which have no toxicity or side effects at normal dosages and that non-specifically increase the body’s resistance to disease, physical & chemical stress. In pharmacology experiments, Rhodiola preparations have been found to enhance endurance, relieve tiredness and weakness, inhibit the production of lipid peroxide in liver cells, and enhance the activity of SOD (a natural anti-oxidant) in the blood.
Green Premium with Snow Lotus - Snow Lotus, a high altitude plant (12,000 feet) is a remarkable “harmonizing herb.” It is used in traditional medicine to promote metabolism, increase vitality, and alleviate stiffness in joints.
Green Premium with Cordyceps - a rare leaf-like fungus long revered in the Eastern World as a tonic for overwork, prolonged illness, ageing and as a sexual enhancer. Other uses include lowering blood lipids and promoting immune function.
Green Premium with Saffron - Saffron, the world’s most expensive spice, has been used as a medicinal herb to promote blood circulation, remove toxins, and to alleviate fever and inflammation. In Tibet it is considered a tonic for the heart and nervous system.
Tibetan Black Tea - Only Premium High Grown tea leaves are used which give a full bodied tea with mild flavor.
